Obituary of Francesca Quaranta

Francesca Quaranta (nee Giusto), a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 1, surrounded by her children. She was born in Italy on November 7, 1921 to parents Vito Giusto and Leonarda Francese. She moved to the United States in 1972. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, good humor, and generous spirit. Francesca was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francesco, in 1973. Surviving are her children JoAnn Gentile (widow of John), Leonardo Quaranta (wife, Nickie), Dina Airo (husband, Claudio), 7 grandchildren, and 11 (soon to be 13) great-grandchildren. The family suggests donations be made to St. Jude’s Childrens’ Research Hospital in memory of Francesca.
