Obituary of Michael J. Svinos

Michael J. Svinos, age 79, passed away on April 7, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Angela for over 52 years. He was the loving father of Effie Roustas and her husband Louis and John Svinos and his wife Donnamarie. He was the cherished Papou of Dean Michael Roustas, Maria Angelina Svinos and Angelina Stella Roustas. He was the dear brother of Dionisia Smaragdakis, George Svinos, Maria Yaloumandrakis and the late Xartofilis Svinos. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Michael was an avid fisherman, gardener, cook and reader. He was a proud member of the Excavators Union Local 731. Most importantly, Michael enjoyed spending time with his beautiful grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving, kind and selfless person who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, 4/12/18, departing at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Service will take place in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 10:00 AM.
