Obituary of Luis Fernando Mejia

Luis Fernando Mejia, 57, of Staten Island, New York, departed from this life on September 5th, 2023,after a valiant battle against lung cancer. Luis was born to Rudolfo Mejia and Marina Saravia, on December 27, 1965, in La Ceiba, Honduras. He is the youngest of his three siblings Marlene, Alfredo, and Carlos. He was a wonderful husband to Aneta and an amazing father to their only daughter, Claudia. Luis claimed to never want a pet but was the first to love and adore the family dog, Coco. Luis would also take any opportunity to play volleyball or soccer. He loved to drive and play music loudly in his car, which he always kept in pristine condition. That said, he was an avid car enthusiast and would often discuss his bias towards the Chevelle SS. His love for music and dancing never wavered. Lastly, and most importantly, Luis loved his faith and put his love for God above all else.
