Obituary of Liane Seff

Liane Seff (nee Alicea), age 64, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2018, at home, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Howard Seff; Loving mother of Jennifer Gelardi and her husband, Paul; devoted grandmother of two; fond stepmother of Renee and step-grandmother of one. She was also the dear sister of Michael and Steven Alicea, and the late Salvatore Alicea and daughter of the late Salvador and late Rogelia Alicea. Liane was born in Manhattan in 1953. Mrs. Seff earned her Associate's Degree in Secretarial Sciences and was employed for 23 years as a Secretary in New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, retiring in 2014. Liane relocated to Staten Island in 1995, settling in the New Springville neighborhood. In her spare time she loved to cook all different types of food, listened to music and enjoyed dancing, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a health advocate and constantly worked out at the gym. Liane was also a great shopper! Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home on Wednesday at 8:00 pm. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral departing from the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am, with entombment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Washington Township, NJ.
