Obituary of Dale J. Cappelli

Dale J. Cappelli Obituary Dale Jude Cappelli was 57 when he passed away at Richmond University Hospital after on Monday August 14, 2023. He was born at the former St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan on February 22, 1966. He was raised in the West New Brighton section of Staten Island near Silver Lake Park, settling in Port Richmond 10 years ago. He graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel grammar school and Curtis High School; was a former NYC Parks Department and City Sanitation worker. He was also a skilled handyman and landscaper. Dale was known to be a friendly face in the community and to be a good-natured individual. People described him as always having a smile and a kind word. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, going to the beach and rooting for NY Giants Football and Yankee Baseball teams. He is survived by his brothers Allen Cappelli (Marina), David Cappelli (Virginia) and Mark Cappelli (Hua Sun). He is also survived by nieces: Toni Ann Owens, Leah Caruso, Laura Cappelli, and Marissa Cappelli. Nephews: Evan Cappelli, Dylan Cappelli, Ian Cappelli and David Cappelli. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation and memorial will take place at Matthew Funeral Home at 2508 Victory Boulevard on Staten Island Saturday September 30, 2023, from 3 PM to 6 PM. Funeral Service on Monday October 2, 2023, at Matthew Funeral Home at 10 AM. Burial will be at St. Peters Cemetery Staten Island at 11AM after the funeral service.
