Leonard C. Davis (Lenny) 54 of Manor Heights passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023 at the Addeo Hospice House, Staten Island. Lenny battled for over a year with Glioblastoma brain cancer resulting from his rescue and recovery work during 9/11. He was the beloved son of the late Leonard J. Davis (2022) and Ida Davis. He is also survived by his loving brother Anthony Davis and wife Theresa along with their two children Madison and Andrew. Lenny was a very proud member of the NYPD, serving as both a Police Officer and Sergeant from 1991-2012. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. Lenny was a dog enthusiast who enjoyed the company of his two dogs Buck and Nanuk and also service dog Dexter! He loved reading, watching old movies and going out to dinner with friends & family. He was a proud Uncle who enjoyed spending quality time with his niece & nephew and being present for their many accomplishments. Lenny was also an avid sports fan who played softball for many years with numerous teams and countless friends, inspired by his love of the New York Yankees. As a dedicated friend Lenny was loved by many, especially his girlfriend Nicole Rossetti. His strength will continue to be admired as he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
