Obituary of Carrie E. Wright

Ms. Carrie E. Wright, Beloved mother, of West Brighton, Staten Island, passed away on November 5th, 2023. She was the Loving mother of Dolores Wright and Lisa Shaw, Mother-in-law of Kenneth S. Shaw Sr. and the grandmother of Kenneth S. Shaw Jr. and Candice S. Shaw. Carrie was predeceased by her Grandmother Rhoda Porter, Mother Sarah Porter, Sister Louise Stewart, Niece Roberta Stewart and Nephew Robert Stewart. Carrie was born in Brooklyn, New York then relocated to Staten Island, New York over twenty years ago. Carrie became a certified nurse’s assistant at the Coler-Goldwater Memorial Hospital for Twenty-five years of Loyal and Efficient service. Carrie then retired in November 2006. She really loved movies, music, and spending time with her family. Memorial Services will be held at Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY, on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. A funeral service by a Minister is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
