Obituary of Patricia "Patty Ann" Dory

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Patricia Ann Dory at the age of 70. Embraced by the love of her family, she coped with various health challenges, demonstrating a strength that surpassed expectations and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Tiffany and Nicole, and their respective spouses, Seneca and Richard. Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren: Savannah, Naylah, Seneca, Josiah, and Richard. Patricia is also remembered by her brother William, sister-in-law Kathleen, nieces Eileen (her god-daughter), Kelly and her nephew William along with grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and the memory of her deceased beloved mother, Genevieve Ann Dory. Patricia was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in the early 90’s. She worked at Bishop Mugavero Senior Center as a Recreation Director for many years where she cherished her colleagues and residents. She loved spending time with her family and was a TV connoisseur who enjoyed recommending the latest shows and movies. Patricia had a tremendous style of her own and unparalleled creativity, traits that enriched the lives of those around her. Alongside her remarkable spirit, her generous heart extended to opening her home to friends and her children’s childhood companions, showcasing not only her compassion but also a resourcefulness that made it all possible. Cherished for her boundless love, Patricia leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home 2508 Victory Blvd. on Friday November 17, 2023, departing at 9:15AM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita’s Church at 10:00AM. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Family and Friends may visit on Thursday November 16, 2023, from 2:00-4:00PM and from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
