Obituary of Charles J. Fallon

Charles J. Fallon of Westerleigh, passed away on December 19, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Giovannina “Joy” Fallon (2017). He is survived by his two loving children Jeffrey Fallon and Denise Murphy, son-in-law Bruce Murphy, daughter-in-law Lisa Fallon, and the proud grandpa of adored grandchildren, Ryan and Danielle Murphy, and Sean and Isabella Fallon. Charles was a graduate of New Dorp High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Staten Island. He served in the U.S. Air Force, Airman Second Class, and served as a Position Classification Specialist for the U.S. Army and Navy. Charles umpired in the Staten Island Softball Association and served as president of the Staten University Hospital South Chapter AARP. He loved birding and participated in Staten Island Spring and Christmas bird counts for decades. He was a member of the Sons of Norway, Todt Hill Friendship Club, Friends of Blue Heron Park, and National Audubon Society. His memory and legacy will be carried on through his beautiful family. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, 12/27, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, 12/28, at 11:00 am, with a committal service to follow at the Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ.
