I wasn't close to Danny but I am sorry to lose him. He was a nice guy and worked hard for the VVA.

Danny you will be deeply missed to say the least. Danny was always there to help a friend out and I’m talking from experience, he was there for me. The gift he gave our district Attorney Bill Murphy was the greatest gift a person can give and Danny did that by giving him one of his kidneys. Condolences to Marie n his daughters.

Dear Marie, Michelle,Erica and family. Rita and I were deeply saddened on hearing off Danny's passing. We served together in the NYPD and National Guard and developed a great friendship over many years which grew stronger as we served together during the Persian Gulf War. I enjoyed many years of playing golf, talking sports and sharing many laughs with Danny. He was a man of family, faith and service who we will greatly miss.We are thankful for the for the time that we spent together. Danny's life was a life well lived. Our heartfelt condolences to the Ingellis family.

Condolences to Danny's family on his passing. I first met Danny in 2004 when he was Post Commander of the Staten Island VFW. We had much in common as both veterans and retired NYPD Detectives. Danny became a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 421 where he became active . He ran our first golf outing where we were able to raise funds for our High School Monument Project. He later was instrumental in gathering photos of all Eighty-Five Staten Islanders killed in Vietnam which are displayed at our annual Remembrance Ceremony. As a Board Member he helped to guide the Chapter to the sucessful organization it is today. His selfless attitude in donating a kidney tells all one needs to know about howhe lived his life. The world will be a lesser place without him. Rest in peace my friend.

To the family of Danny Ingellis:
My memories of Dan will always be of a wonderful father, a devoted husband, a man who served his country with honor in two wars and as a great friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. I am privileged to have been able to call him my friend and will miss him dearly. But I know that he is at peace and with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
I also believe that goodbyes are not forever; goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again.
Requis en paci, mi amici,
Joe and Patricia Valenzano
