Obituary of Gloria M. Fimbel

Gloria M. Fimbel, 83, of New Springville, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Fimbel (2022); loving mother of Don Kaye and his wife Marianna Shapiro, and Linda Kaye and her husband Peter Gottlieb; cherished grandmother of Anthony, Matthew and Charlotte; dear sister of Anthony Realmuto, Jr. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Fimbel was born and raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Fort Hamilton High School. She worked for many years as an Administrative Secretary in the health care industry. Gloria enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, playing Bingo, and shopping. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. (Michaeljfox.org) Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
