Obituary of Sarafina Quinto
SARAFINA (PERILLI) QUINTO (1938-2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved and admired mother, Sarafina Perilli Quinto.
Sarah was born August 3, 1938 and spent her life dedicated to her deceased husband, Fortunato Anthony Quinto (Chubby), her three children and their families. She loved nothing more than spending time with her Grandson and five Granddaughters. Sarah especially loved the Christmas Season…decorating, shopping and baking. She left her family with many delicious recipes and holiday traditions to carry on.
Sarah graduated from Lafayette High School in Brooklyn. She moved to Staten Island in 1959 where she started her family. Sarah worked 6 years at Prudential Insurance Co before beginning her 16 year career as a para-professional for the NYC Board of Education’s GED Program on Staten Island.
After retiring, Sarah relocated with her husband to Dayton, NJ where she enjoyed the company of new friends in her retirement community. Sarah relocated to Staten Island after her husband’s passing 12 years ago.
Sarah is survived by her daughters Ann Taylor (Glenn Edward Taylor, Jr) Lorraine Quadrato (Paul Quadrato) and her only son Salvatore Quinto (Lisa Marie Quinto)
A heartfelt thank you goes to Dr. Giulio Bianchi & the staff of Northwell Health University Hospice for their compassionate care.
