Dear Sylvia & Family:
We were so saddened to hear of Ricky's passing. He truly was a "great" guy and a family man who loved and lived for his family.
We know he has been received in Heaven with open arms. He is now another Angel watching over all of you. May his memory always be a blessing.
With our sincerest condolences, your cousin, Dora & Ray Garcia

Rick
Was a great guy, great friend, great cop. I was blessed and honored to have worked with him and known him and been friends with him. It’s sad we lost you but God gained a great Angel. One day we will play golf again in heaven and laugh again . Just hit that ball like a baseball . Bless you and your soul, your family and loved ones. Anyone who was lucky enough to know you was blessed . Rest in peace brother. 60A-10-98.

As a friend and neighbor , Ricky and his family will always know that we will be there through th rough times . Ricky will be remembered as someone who always gave of himself . A person who put his family ahead of everything else. A friend who help you out in an emergency or lend a helping hand . A love of animals , often playing with our dog , Molly . There was no shortage of cheese when Molly would visit. Ricky isn't gone . He is in his children , Sylvia , and anyone who had the honor of knowing him .

Rick was the best. Through the good times and tough times, he did it with a smile. I don't know how he did it, but he did. He will be missed. May God Bless his soul, and may God bless his family. He was really a good guy.

My sincere condolences to the Garcia family. I worked in the equipment room w Ricky at NBBS. We had many laughs and shared many police stories and adventures. He was a great guy and a great Detective. I remembered him from his days in Coney Island. Always a gentleman and was proud to wear that shield. Rest in Peace my brother until we meet again.
