Obituary of Luigi "Gino" Di Salvo

Luigi “Gino” Di Salvo, 83, of Graniteville, passed away on February 6, 2024. Born on July 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Antonio and Giuseppina Di Salvo; beloved father of Josephine Kaufmann (Thomas), Milena Cella (Daniel), Anthony Di Salvo (Jennifer Thompson) and Danny Di Salvo; loving grandfather of Nicholas, William, Allison Kaufmann, Patricia Wilderson, Daniel, Aidan and Sophia Cella, Assunta Williams, and Anthony Di Salvo; cherished great-grandfather of Avalynn and Lainey Wilderson, and Wyatt Bray. Mr. Di Salvo is also survived by his ex-wife Assunta Di Salvo, his sister (in Italy) Livia Di Salvo, as well as many loving nieces and nephews (here in the United States, and in Italy). Gino was preceded in death by his late siblings: Joe, Benny, Dante, Adelina Romoli, Dora Nuzzo, Elena Grazioli, and Antonietta Casale. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 2/12, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A funeral service is scheduled, in the funeral home, on Tuesday, 2/13, at 10:00 AM, followed by entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey.
