Obituary of Arline Ippolito

Arline Marie Ippolito, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on February 15, 2024, at her home in New Springville on Staten Island, with her family by her side. Arline was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 25, 1942, to the late Josephine Niosi and the late Robert Riquier. She attended Fort Hamilton High School, and worked as a typist for MacMillan Publishers until she began raising her family. Arline married her high school sweetheart, the late Peter Ippolito, in 1963. She loved Peter dearly and together they spent countless hours taking day trips, decorating their home, shopping, gardening, playing poker machines at her favorite casinos, and watching British and PBS television shows. They raised a family together, and delighted in family events and occasions, especially those involving their grandchildren. Her favorite family pastimes included lively games of Rummikub, Left, Right, Center, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Arline is survived by her loving children Denise (Tim), Dianne (John), and Karen (Orlando), cherished grandchildren Kathleen, Andrew, Anthony, Lauren, Nicole, Tommy, Christine (Brian), Samantha (Angelo), and Annemarie (Andrew), and adored great-grandchildren Violet and Annalise. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Pity RC Church, 1616 Richmond Ave., Staten Island on February 24, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave., Staten Island. Visitation will be held at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island on February 23 from 5-9 PM.
