My Dad was the most generous and amazing man I had ever known. He had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, and at ease in his company. Growing up, he was always there for our family for advice, for countless rides to places and always available to lend a helping hand. My dad would sometimes say “half the things I forgot most people will never know”, he had so much old school knowledge about so many different trades and he knew how to repair almost anything. He always had a few jokes to tell too, because making people laugh was what he loved to do. He was always smiling, and was always there to lend an ear to hear our stories. My father watched his two sons grow to become men, both having successful careers, and both getting married. He watched us both move out and save enough to buy our own homes. He was blessed to live long enough to see his grand daughter born and make it to almost two years old. He was crazy about Amelia as she was for her Poppy. If you knew my Dad, you knew his love for his family and friends were completely unwavering. My Dad was an absolute legend on his block. We would often call him the mayor of our street. Always outside in front of the house with his garage door open, washing his cars, chatting with absolute strangers at times.. He would wave at beeping cars passing by, sometimes they’d yell out “Hey Lenny!!” and I’d be like, who was that? He’d smile and say “beats me!” He was an awesome card magician too, you know the more I think about it, I don’t think there was anything this man, my dad couldn’t do. I take comfort in the fact he lived an amazing life was loved by everyone here and died closing his eyes to get some rest. I know he’ll be up in heaven in great company waiting to greet us all. My Dad wouldn’t want us to be in pain over his loss. He’d want us to celebrate his life instead of mourning his death. He’d want us to remember him as the Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, and best friend we all already knew him to be. As I look around this room I see that he was as fortunate to have all of us in his 75 plus years here on this planet , as we were to have him in our lives. He will live on forever in our hearts and in our memories. Please keep him in your prayers, keep him in your memories and keep him in your hearts. God Bless my Dad, Amen.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
You will be missed Dad.
