Obituary of Gerald Mirasola

Gerald Mirasola, 76, passed away peacefully, on February 24, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Anne of 52 years. He was the loving father of Steven and Christopher. He was adored by his four loving grandchildren Ava, Olivia, Christopher, and Giuliana . He also is survived by his brother MIchael Mirasola. Gerald was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1948 to Michael and Nellie Mirasola. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School before he honorably served in the United States Army. In his earlier life he was a photography studio owner specializing in graphic design. He then moved on to being a licensed mortgage broker. Jerry enjoyed golf , bowling and dedicating his time to his wife, children and grandchildren. Jerry was known for his commitment to his loved ones. He was a one of a kind grandfather or otherwise known as PaPa. There was never a game, performance or event that you wouldn’t see PaPa Jerry there. Jerry spent his days chauffeuring his grandchildren to and from school with pride. He also was a sports fanatic. He loved to cheer on the New York Giants and the New York Mets. Beyond everything, Jerry was devoted to the people he loved and he touched the lives of everyone he met. He made such an impact on our community and everyone would look for “PaPa Jerry,” whether it was a quick hello or an intense conversation about sports or politics. Jerry’s calm loving spirit lit up a room and he will be greatly missed. The wake will take place at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd on February 27 from 4-8. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Pity at 10:30 am followed by his final resting place at Moravian Cemetery.
