Obituary of Daniel J. Cowhig Sr.
Danny Cowhig (7/29/49- 4/8/24)
Daniel John Cowhig, Sr., 74, of Port Richmond, died Monday. Born and raised in West Brighton to Daniel Cowhig and Mary (Sullivan) Cowhig. He attended McKee High School before going to work for Con Edison where he became a troubleshooter and worked for over 40 years.
He met Linda Cowhig in 1996, they married in 2002 and settled in Westerleigh. Where they raised their combined families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Cowhig and son, John Cowhig. He is survived by his daughter, Desiree Caserta ( John Caserta), son Daniel Cowhig, Jr. (Dara Cowhig), and his step-daughters, Nicole Rosales (Edgar Rosales) and Maria Reno. He has eight Grandchildren. DJ Caserta, Richie Caserta, Daniel Cowhig, III, Danica Cowhig, Mackenzie Rosales, Sofia Rosales, Brooke Ortiz and Scarlett Krupa.
Lovingly referred to as Pop, he was the one you could always count on for an at home project. He was adored by everyone and known for his love of classic cars and wood working. He was also a devoted Giants and Notre Dame Football fan who enjoyed spending time watching the games with family and friends. He especially enjoyed making memories with all of his grandchildren.
