Obituary of Joan R. Lang

Joan R. Lang (nee Lyons) transitioned peacefully on May 7, 2018 at the ripe young age of 88. She was the beloved mother of Susan Leslierandal and Laurie Landau; fond mother-in-law of Steven Leslierandal and Eran Landau; cherished grandmother of Jeremy Lyons, Raisa Lyons and Joshua Leslierandal; precious sister of Harvey (and Becky) and David (and Sandy) Lyons and the late Karyn Johnson. She also leaves behind five nieces and nephews. Joan was a lifelong political activist, as well as being a lover of the cultural arts and baseball. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory may be made to either Feeding with TLC, Inc. (309 St. Pauls Avenue, S.I., NY 10304) or Meals on Wheels. Memorial visitation is scheduled at the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, May 12, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, with a religious service at 11:30 am. Arrangements include a private cremation.
