Obituary of Theresa Mae Eberle

It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Mae Eberle announces that she passed away on June 22, 2024 at Richmond University Medical Center.

She was born to the late Theresa Borgstede and Henry J. Borgstede, Sr. on Staten Island on March 12, 1947.  She graduated from Port Richmond High School in 1964, and it was at PRHS that she met her beloved husband Charles. They went on their first date in 1964 and have been devoted to each other ever since Terry and Charlie were married  on April 21, 1968 at Blessed Sacrament Church and had three children, Terri, Charles (Chuck)  and Christopher (Chris). Terry worked as a secretary before her children were born and for the Home  Interiors décor company when they were older. During their childhood, she was dedicated to and involved with all their activities including PS 30 PTA, Scouts, and sports.

Terry loved to bake special cakes and especially loved the holidays. She was a long- time NY Mets fan – she and Charlie loved to go to the games and watch them at home – and also followed the NY Giants and Rangers. In her later years, she loved to read historical fiction and watch game shows. She was a devoted Catholic and strong in her faith.

Terry will be greatly missed by her loving husband Charlie. She shared many special family times with her brother Henry J. Borgstede, Jr. and his wife Madeleine, as well as Charlie's sister Carol Weissberg and her husband Robert. She was devoted to her children Terri Eberle Katz (Mitch), Chuck Eberle (Jennifer), Chris Eberle (Joanne) and was a proud "Grammy" to Jake Eberle, Alyssa Eberle, Jason Eberle, Liana Eberle, and Mason Katz. She is also survived by her niece Melissa Robinson, nephews Curtis Borgstede, Tony Lloret, and Cliff Lloret, and other family and friends.

Funeral arrangements were private for the family through Matthew Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lupus Foundation of America
