Obituary of Chrysoula Kotsonis
Chrysoula Kotsonis was born Thursday, January 22nd 1959 in Piraeus, Greece.
In 1968 when Chrysoula was 9 years old, she moved to the United States along with her father Harlambos, mother Maria and sister Soula. The Karamarios family lived for a short time in New Jersey, then Brooklyn, before settling in Staten Island, NY.
Chrysoula graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She was proud to be the first college graduate in her family. In 1982, she married the love of her life, Panagiotis Kotsonis and shortly began a family of her own. She is the mother of two loving and beautiful children, Christos and Maria.
Chrysoula loved spending time with her children, husband, family, and friends. She was an active member in the Greek Orthodox community. Chrysoula was generous, compassionate and knew the right words to say to comfort her loved ones.
Chrysoula was proud of her family, husband and children. She loved them very much. Her children and family are what drove Chrysoula to fight melanoma for 8 years. Chrysoula is survived by her father Haralambos, husband Panagiotis, sister Soula, her son Christos, daughter Maria and son-in-law Salvatore. Her memory will be carried on in the hearts of her loved ones.
