Obituary of Carmela M. Caruso

Carmela M. Caruso (nee Petrizzo), age 81, passed away on May 10, 2018. She was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Margie Petrizzo. She was the loving mother of Claire Matkovich, Barbara Caruso and Mark Caruso. She was the cherished grandmother of Brandi Matkovich and her fiancée Valerie, Nicole Matkovich and Anthony Matkovich. She is also survived by her loving and care giving sister Tonie Briguglio Carmela was a very special woman who enjoyed reading and babysitting her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed visiting museums and seeing shows in the city with her family. Even though in recent years she became very ill her faith never wavered. Carmela will be remembered as a fun loving person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate mass cards and donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Carmela's Memory. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd., On Monday, 5/14/18, departing at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Rita's R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 5/11/18, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
