Obituary of Elizabeth Stetkar

Elizabeth Stetkar 98, of New Springville died at home on May 11, 2018. Born Elizabeth Marie Blatnicky in Manhattan and raised in Queens. She moved to Staten Island in 1982. While living in Queens she worked for International Paper Company, Manhattan as an administrative assistant and as a secretary for County Federal Savings and Loan in Queens. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Willowbrook Chapter of the AARP and St. Rita's Golden Age Club. She and her husband traveled to Europe and throughout the United States and the Caribbean. She loved animals and liked to sew, read and do puzzles. She also enjoyed going to Atlantic City. Her husband, Bert, died in 1978. Surviving are her daughter, Doris Penna, granddaughter, Alison Maniscalco and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Maniscalco. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. On Tuesday, 5/15/18, departing at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. An interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queens. Family and friends may visit on Monday, 5/14/18, from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
