Obituary of Dawn Menoni

Dawn L. Menoni, 71, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, sadly passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dawn was the beloved wife of her late husband, John; the devoted mother of her three sons and daughters-in-law; John and his wife Maryanne, Adam and his wife Michelle, and Christian and his wife Tricia; and the adored “Nana” to her six grandchildren, Kelsey Cole, Thomas, Joseph, Hudson, McKenzie, and Alexia. Dawn was a Staten Island native, where she attended P.S. 19, I.S. 27, where they fell in love at only 13 years old, and both were among the first graduating class of Susan Wagner H.S.

Dawn’s three boys meant more to her than anything else in the world. She was exceedingly proud of them and their accomplishments; her oldest and youngest sons are police officers in the NYPD, John (Captain) and Christian (Detective), and her middle son Adam is the thriving business owner of Qualitech Computers. Dawn adored her grandchildren and often went far out-of-her-way making sure she attended as many of their baseball games, dance recitals, cheer tournaments and concerts, as possible. Dawn was known by all that knew her as an excessively patriotic, thoughtful, and strong-willed independent person whose family was everything to her.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, NY on Wednesday 9/4 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM.  There will be a service held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8PM.
