Obituary of Elizabeth S. Kapadia

Elizabeth Samuel Kapadia entered into eternal glory on September 4th, 2024 at the age of 89.  She passed away at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island. She was born on October 19, 1935 to Theodore and Louis Christie in Pune, Maharastra, India.

Elizabeth was very dedicated and passionate about everything she did.  She was an excellent stenographer and later became the head clerk for the Agricultural Department of the Government of Gujarat.  With a heartful of love to serve God and His people, she was a faithful prayer warrior and Sunday school teacher, bringing many young souls to Christ.

On July 14th, 1966, she married Samuel Kapadia and later had two children, Esther and Epaenetus.  As their family grew, she continued to serve the Lord diligently for many years.  She loved gardening, knitting, homemaking, and most of all children with whom she sang songs and played games.

Elizabeth and Samuel moved to New York to be close to their children and grandchildren, continuing to pray, love and watch over them. She affected so many lives by her love, prayers and wisdom. Elizabeth will be remembered by kindness, generosity and never wavering faith in Christ.  A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a friend.

She will be missed by many including her husband Samuel, Daughter Esther, son in law Anil, Son Epaenetus, daughter in law Julie and Grandchildren Jonathan, Rachel and Jeremiah.
