Obituary of Joseph F. Piazza

Joseph Piazza, 72, passed away on October 4th, 2024. He was predeceased by his sister Josephine and his brother Patsy "Junior". He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Regina, his two sons Nicholas and Joseph, as well as his daughter Jenna and his two granddaughters Izabella and Faith.

For many, finding a passion for something in life is usually a very arduous task, but not for Joseph. Since he could remember, his passion was for music. At the age of 18 he was already performing as a professional drummer for a jazz band signed with Columbia Records.

After his years as a professional musician, Joseph worked as an On-Site Telephone and Repair Technician for The New York Telephone Company now known as Verizon, for 30 years. Once retired, he was also a Professional Videographer and Video Editor.

In his later years, his true joy was spending time with his devoted wife, children and grandchildren, filling the house with the sounds of Frank Sinatra, spreading his infectious love for music. Above all else, his unwavering love and devotion to his family took precedence over everything.

Family and friends may visit the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd. on Saturday, 10/12 from 4-8.  There will be a service at 7PM at the funeral home.
