Obituary of Nils J. Thompson

Nils J. Thompson, age 81, of Westerleigh, passed away on November 13, 2017. He was the loving father of Barbara Schodowski and Doug Thompson and his wife Laurall. He was the cherished grandfather of Kara, Krista, Alyssa, Jackie, Joseph and Sara. He was a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Nils was born in Queens, New York. He was a patriotic man who served in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1957 through 1959. He later became a printing pressman who worked for various printing press companies. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, fishing and he was a member of the Mariner’s Harbor Yacht Club where he served as Commodore and attended many functions there over the years. Nils’s number one priority was his family and he loved spending quality time with them.
