Obituary of John (Jack) McCann

John (Jack) McCann, age 90, of New Springville, passed away on May 24, 2018 at Sea View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. He was the devoted longtime companion of Maureen Shea; beloved father of Madaline Thompson, Maggie McCann Segarra and Jennifer Doherty, and the late Patrick McCann; cherished grandfather of six loving grandsons and one loving granddaughter; devoted great-grandfather of one beautiful great-granddaughter; dear brother of Jim McCann and Joyce Gregan. Also survived by many loving family and friends. Jack was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a Brooklyn man through and through. He will be missed by many. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, departing at 9 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's R.C.Church at 10 am. Private cremation to follow. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
