Obituary of Mary M. Saverimuttu

Mary Ranee Saverimuttu (Born 10/24/1931; Died 12/30/2024) peacefully passed away at home in New York.  Beloved wife of the late Augustine Savermuttu; dear mother of Aroma (Shyamala), Canada, and Raju, USA.  Beloved mother-in-law of Anthony Solomon and Dr. Jessie Saverimuttu; loving grandmother of Aristotle (Chamila), Anita, Teresa, Antonella, and Augusta; and great-grandmother of Ariana.  Cherished sister of the late Pakiam, James, Ruckmani, Jeyarattnam, Chelan, Chandran, Valentine, Constantine, and Shanthi.

Mary was born on October 24, 1931, in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, to the late Ambrose and the late Nallammah Thambiah.  She will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, siblings, and her extended family and friends across the world.

We would like to sincerely thank Bim, Moe, and Kalyani, who always provided excellent care to Mary.  We would also like to sincerely thank Dr. Bruno Manduca and Dr. PC Wickremesinghe, who always provided exceptional medical care to Mary.
