Fred Tramutola, 81, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. Born on February 7, 1943 in Bayonne, New Jersey, Fred was a lifelong resident of Staten Island. He graduated from Port Richmond High School and went on to establish Jewett Deli and Victory Gourmet Deli, where he dedicated 35 years of service to his community and built lasting relationships with friends, neighbors, and customers alike.
Fred's greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends—many of whom became like family to him. He treasured these moments, whether gathered for holidays, family outings, or simple, quiet afternoons. Fred's warm heart, generosity, and sense of humor made him a cherished figure in the lives of those who knew him.
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Fred N. and Josephine (Pellino) Tramutola. He is survived by his children, Joleen Pieroni and her husband Bryan, Fred T. Tramutola and his wife Nichole; his grandchildren, Tyler Pieroni (Stephanie), Matthew Pieroni, Nicholas Tramutola, Kierstyn Fossella (Dylan), and Shayna Tramutola (Malik); and his great-granddaughters, Wednesday Bethea and Rylee Fossella. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Tramutola who has been a constant source of love and support, and by his long-time companion, Judy Burrell, who he shared many memorable and fun times with.
Fred's legacy will be remembered not only through his family but also by the many people whose lives he touched during his years as a small business owner. Known for his kindness, hard work, and dedication, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
