Obituary of Anna Seidita

Anna Seidita (nee DiDonna), age 75, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Nicholas Anthony for 51 years, loving mother of Nicholas J. and his wife Shakira, and Anthony and his wife, Lauren; cherished grandmother of Nicholas G; dear sister of Matilda Best and her husband, Joseph. She was predeceased by two other siblings. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Seidita was born in 1943, in Brooklyn, being raised in the Red Hook neighborhood. She was an alumna of Prospect Heights Heights in Brooklyn. She relocated to Staten Island in 1982. Over the years she was employed at various jobs, such as being a Bank Teller for Richmond County Savings Bank, also as a Sales Person for Sears, and finally finished her working career as a Secretary for The College of Staten Island. Some of her hobbies included gardening & planting, and being an animal lover. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, departing at 8:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.
