Obituary of Marlyn E. Gibson-Wade

Marlyn E. Gibson-Wade, age 82, of Elm Park, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2018, at Staten Island University Hospital North. She was the beloved wife of the late Aaron Wade and the late Oscar Gibson; loving mother of Sheridan Gibson; dear sister of Theodore Brome, Timothy Brome, Miriam Brome and the late Winston Brome and the late Kenlyn Brome; fond sister-in-law of Dolores Brome and Patsy Brome. Marlyn was born in 1935 in St. Lucy, Barbados, and was raised there. She emigrated to the United States in 1970. She was employed for many years as a Home Attendant. She loved to cook as she followed in her Mother's footsteps with this quality, and she loved to travel near and far. Marlyn did enjoy a nice bus trip on occasion. She is described by her family as being very charitable and would donate to many causes to help out her fellow man. Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 6/18 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, 6/17, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
