Obituary of Barbara A. Moore

Barbara A. Moore (nee Huckvale), age 79, of West Brighton, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018 at Seaview Home and Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Moore, Sr. (1994); loving mother of Deborah Vivace, Robert J. Moore, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, William Moore, Cheryl Hicks and her husband, Timothy, and James Robert Moore and his fiancé, Helena Klusek; cherished grandmother of Erica Moore, Christina Moore, Victoria Moore, James B. Moore, Cheryl Lynn Hicks, Melody Hicks, and Celina Reed and her husband, Chad, and the late Michael Moore; dear sister of the late Edward and the late William Huckvale. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Barbara was born on Staten Island in 1939, and was raised in West Brighton. She was a graduate of Curtis High School and was employed for many years as a Home Care Attendant for the Stella Orton Home Care Company. Some of her hobbies included crabbing and fishing on the Captain John boat out of Keyport NJ, playing bingo and skillo, and trips to Seaside Heights and Atlantic City, NJ. Barbara also enjoyed playing board games with friends at her house. Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday at 10 am. Private Cremation to follow. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 7:00 to 10:00 pm and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
