Obituary of Robert Modelfino

Robert "Rocky" Modelfino, age 92, of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2018, at Addeo Hospice. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris (2001); loving father of Donna Patton and her husband, Leonard, Deborah Paugh and her husband, Richard, and Doreen Tartaglia; cherished grandfather of Jaclyn Simeone and her husband, Guy, Jennifer Tsoi and her husband, Jin, Jillian Patton, Samantha Paugh, Stephanie Paugh, Matthew Paugh, Vincent Tartaglia, Amanda Larrea and her husband, Christopher, and Megan Tartaglia; devoted great-grandfather of Ava, Lily, and Jonathan. He was preceded in death by his three sisters. Robert was born in New York in 1925 and was raised in the West Village. He graduated from High School in Manhattan. He moved to Brooklyn when he got married in 1948. He worked as a Meter Reader for Keyspan for 50 years. His main joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
