Obituary of Lois Ann Rao

Lois Ann Rao (nee Hayes), age 76, passed away on July 2, 2018. She dearly loved her family, she was devoted to her granddaughter, Haley, her friends and she loved her cats. Lois was a graduate of St. Peter's Girls High School. From 1959 – 1965 she worked for the National Association of Accountants in New York City. Later, she worked at Doctor's Hospital in the Admitting Office from 1977 – 1987. Lois also worked for Dr. Procci, a well known obstetrician from 1979 – 1989. Lois volunteered at Clove Lakes Nursing Home Recreation Department from 1973 – 1976. She also volunteered at PS 29 for the PTA reading program. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed reading mystery novels. A Funeral Service from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday at 11:00 AM. Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A private cremation will follow.
