Obituary of Geraldine P. Napolitano

Geraldine P. Napolitano (neeMcGuire), age 82, passed away on July 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Margaret McGuire. She was the beloved wife of Andrew Napolitano. She was the loving mother of Geraldine Lucadamo and her husband Steve, Andrea Vizzotti and her husband Emanuel and Andrew Napolitano. She was the cherished grandmother of Suzanne Rossi, Emanuel Vizzotti, Kathleen Lisi, David Lucadamo, Lisa Vizzotti and Michele White. She was the dear great grandmother of Gavin, Carter, Brennan and Finley Rossi, Grace and Mark Lisi, Brady Lucadamo and Luke White. Geraldine was predeceased by her brother, Ronald McGuire and her sister, Mary Ellen Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Geraldine went to Port Richmond High School but moved to Florida, during her time there she graduated from Hillsborough High School. She returned to Staten Island where she reunited with her childhood sweetheart Andrew. They were married in 1954 and had three beautiful children. As a young mother, she was dedicated to raising her family. She later returned to work as a secretary for Ettlinger and Carona, a surveying company in the St. George area. Geraldine was a proud member of the Assumption Columbiette's. She was a strong, stylish and elegant woman who was extremely proud of her catholic faith. Her hobbies and passions included gardening, crafting, needle point, cooking and all things Victorian. Geraldine will also be remembered as a loving woman who always put her family first. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to A.C.T. Adult Daycare Center, 1698 Victory Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10314 in Geraldine's memory. A Funeral Service from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, departing at 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family R.C. Church at 11:00 AM. A private cremation will follow. Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
