Obituary of Sylvia T. Griffo

Sylvia T. Griffo, born 2/21/1933, loving mother of Geraldine Griffo, Phyllis Griffo, Susan Grimaldi, Marc Griffo, and Kim Ferrezza; caring wife of Arnold Griffo, proud nana to Corrine, Jonathan and Samantha Botte; Gina Frescott and Lisa Grimaldi; Lauren Perez and Joey Bartoletti; Ryan, Brandon, and Christina Griffo; Dean and Kyle Ferrezza. Great-Grandmother to Nicky Frescott and Leah Perez. Fond Mother-in-Law to Nick Grimaldi, Eileen Griffo, and Dean Ferrezza. Sylvia enjoyed bowling at Rab's Bowling Alley with her Golden Oldies Bowling League. She was also a competitive Scrabble, Rummy Cube and Upwards player with her best friend Frieda Scotto. Sylvia will be dearly missed by all for her loving support and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to your local A.S.P.C.A. Memorial visitation at Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Sunday, 7/8 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Burial of cremated remains is scheduled on Friday, 7/13, at 1:00 pm at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
