Obituary of Anthony Guglielmo

Anthony Guglielmo, age 78, of New Springville, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2018 in his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Guglielmo, father of Frank Guglielmo (wife: Tracey) and Mary Tirro (husband: Salvatore); and grandfather to Anthony, Michael, and Frank Guglielmo and Pasqualina, Luigi, Anthony, and Theresa Tirro. Anthony was born in l940, in Brooklyn, and came to Staten Island in 1996. He worked for the New York City Transit Authority as a heating and air conditioning specialist. He later graduated college with a teaching degree becoming a vocational teacher with the NY City Department of Education. In his free time he enjoyed the many activities of his grandchildren, watching baseball and playing Sudoku. Funeral from Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10314 on Saturday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity Church at l0:30am. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, SI, NY. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 6 to 9pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
