Obituary of Donald Mercurio

Donald Mercurio, 76, born and raised in Brooklyn NY, moved to Staten Island more than 45 years ago.  He was the owner and president of Jimmy’s Trucking Inc. before retiring several years ago.  Donald was kind, compassionate, genuine, and fun-loving. Nothing brought him more happiness then being surrounded by family and friends, telling stories, and experiencing life to the fullest.

Donald is survived by his wife, Rita and his adoring children Maria, Melissa, Matthew, Juliana, Christina and Albert; sons and daughter-in-law Jim, Robert, and Corinne, and his 10 grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.The celebration of his life will be held at Matthew Funeral home Thursday, August 30, 2018 2-5pm and 7-9pm.  The funeral mass will be at Our Lady Star of the Sea at 10am Friday August 31, 2018.
