Obituary of Adele Hotchkiss

Adele "Mickey" Hotchkiss Adele Hotchkiss passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22 at the home of her daughter, Maureen Wolenski. Adele was born in New York, NY and was proud to call Hell's Kitchen her childhood home. In 1953, she married the love of her life, John Hotchkiss and eventually moved to Staten Island to raise her children. She worked in the food services department at Susan Wagner High School, retiring after working there over 20 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching old movies and excelled in baking. Her beloved husband predeceased her in 1991. Surviving are her daughter, Maureen Wolenski and her husband, Stephen of Staten Island; her sons, James Hotchkiss and his wife, Maura of Hawthorn Woods, IL and John Hotchkiss and his wife, Barbara Dubrowskiof Matawan, NJ; and grandchildren John Hotchkiss III, James Hotchkiss, Patrick Hotchkiss, Jacquelyn Hotchkiss, Adele Wolenski and Stephen Wolenski. Visitation will be at Matthew Funeral Home, Staten Island from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday Sept. 27. Funeral mass will be at Saint Teresa's Church on Friday Sept. 28.
