Carlo F. Panfilo
1941-2018

Carlo F. Panfilo, 77, passed away peacefully of breast cancer on October 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. 

Carlo was born and raised in Italy.  He moved to the United States in 1966 after pursuing a degree in teaching.  He began a new life and followed his passion for architecture.  In 1967, he married the love of his life, Amelia. 

Carlo spent most his life working hard as an architect and being a devoted father to his daughters, Francesca and Sabrina.  He was passionate about travel, classical music, literature, writing and painting--and most of all, his family.

Carlo exhibited true character and humility every day.  His courageous spirit infected everyone he knew.  He saw beauty in all things and loved his family deeply. 

He will be missed tremendously by his children and grandchildren- Amelia, Sophie and Jayden; his son-in-law, Peter;  his sister,Teresa, as well as countless friends and extended family whose lives he touched. 

A private viewing will be held at Matthew Funeral home on October 15, 2018  followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 at Holy Family Church, 366 Watchogue Road, Staten Island, NY 10314.

In lieu of of flowers, donations in Carlo's memory should be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering.
