Obituary of Angela DiGennaro

Angela DiGennaro (nee Abate), 98, of Westerleigh, formerly of Port Richmond and Bulls Head, passed away on November 10, 2018 at Clove Lakes Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of 54 years of the late Anthony (2001); loving mother of Anthony DiGennaro (Maureen), Regina Fieramosca (Charles), and Rita DiGennaro; cherished grandmother of Charles Fieramosca, Jr., Stephanie Alba (David), Dr. Briana Fieramosca-Minardi (Thomas), Danielle Yosevitz (Michael), Toni Ann DiGennaro; devoted great-grandmother of David, Sophia, Benjamin, and Alexander; dear aunt of Joan Conti and Mary Ann Abate. She was predeaceased by six siblings.

Angela was born in Bulls Head and raised in Port Richmond and attended McKee High School. In her younger years in the garment district as a Seamstress and Pattern Maker, and later got married and became a homemaker. In 1976 she relocated to Florida with her husband Anthony and then moved to Toms River, NJ in 1999. Angela was a skilled artisan who worked with fine needlework, crochet and embroidery, ceramics and arts and crafts. Angela also enjoyed bowling, and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to The Matheny Medical and Educational Center, Peapack, NJ, in memory of Angela DiGennaro.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Holy Family at 10 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
