Obituary of Frank P. Collo

Frank P. Collo, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2018 at Staten Island University Hospital, South. He was the beloved husband of Amelia "Pat" (nee Angelo). Frank was predeceased by his first wife, Rose (nee Vetro). He was the loving father of Frank R. Collo; fond stepfather of Thomas Harkins (Mary Ann) and the late Sharon Harkins; cherished grandfather of six and numerous great-grandchildren; dear brother of Ann Argila. He was predeceased by three siblings. Mr. Collo was born on Staten Island in 1922 and raised in Port Richmond, and graduated from McKee High School. After high school he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years with the U.S. Post Office, retiring as a Manger of Finance. Some of his hobbies included golfing, needlepoint and reading. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc. ,2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Roch's R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
