Obituary of Sarah Pomaro

Sarah Pomaro (nee Battaglino), age 90, of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn passed away on 12/24/18 at Carmel Richmond Nursing Home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony.  She was the loving mother of Carole Scheer and Charles Pomaro. She was the dear sister of the late Grace Russo and Clara Duke. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Sarah was born in Manhattan. She owned her own hair salon. In her spare time she was an avid reader.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any breast cancer charity of your choice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. On Thursday, 12/27/18, departing 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, 12/26/18, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM
