Obituary of Edward D. Pfeiffer

Edward D. Pfeiffer, 91, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2018 at Clove Lakes Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Anna (nee Beley) for 59 years; loving father of Bridget Scanlon and her husband, Dennis; cherished grandfather of Jacqueline and Alyssa Scanlon; dear brother of Sister Dolores Pfeiffer and the late George Pfeiffer. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Edward was born in 1927. He was a graduate of Curtis High School and then furthered his education attending College. He worked as a Design Draftsman, retiring in 1994 as a civilian employee from the U.S. Navy. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Force as an Airlplane Engine Mechanic during World War II. Some of his hobbies included fishing, archery, and being an avid fan of the NY Rangers. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
