Obituary of Manuel Padilla

Manuel Padilla, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2019 at the King David Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY. He was the beloved husband of Aurelia for over 50 years; loving father of Leah Pogata (Servill) and Neil Padilla (Maria); cherished grandfather of Marygrace, Marienel, Oneil, Marian and Martin. Mr. Padilla was born in the Philippines in 1928, and emigrated to the United States in 2002, settling in Staten Island. He was employed for many years in the construction industry. Manuel enjoyed dancing and singing. He also enjoyed going to the Stapleton senior center. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita's R.C. Church at 10 am. Committal service to follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
