Obituary of Loreto R. Prignoli

Loreto R. Prignoli, age 86, of Westerleigh, passed away on January 22, 2019. He was the loving father of Frank Prignoli and his husband, Joel Lemke. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Mr. Prignoli was born in Italy in 1932 and came to the United States at age 34, settling in Staten Island. Loreto was a cook in the Army in Italy and also worked on his parent's farms in Italy. For many years he worked as a Laborer. Some of his hobbies included making his own wine, gardening, and making his own gravy with the tomatoes that he grew. He also grew peppers, basil, garlic and other vegetables. Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday at 10 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
