Obituary of Marie A. Lundgren

Marie A. Lundgren (nee LaRocca), age 91, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2019, at Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge, NJ. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry for 61 years (2012); beloved mother of Lynn Blanchard and her husband, Paul Blanchard, Jr., and Harry Lundgren, Jr. and his wife, Maria; cherished grandmother of Alica Lundgren, Katrina Lundgren and her husband, William Macirowski, Samantha Lundgren, and Paul Blanchard III; devoted great-grandmother of Wilson Macirowski; dear sister of Frank LaRocca of Coral Springs, Florida, and the late Louis LaRocca; fond aunt of several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lundgren was born in Staten Island and raised in Bulls Head. She graduated from PS 22 and Port Richmond High School. Marie worked for many years as an Executive Secretary, who later taught GED candidates typing and office skills. In her spare time she was a voracious reader, avid crossword puzzle aficionado, and watching shows of a political nature. Marie was an excellent cook, who specialized in Lasagna and Meatballs, and loved entertaining her family. Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, at 10 am. Interment will follow at Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday from 6:00 t0 9:00 pm.
