Obituary of Linda M. Germana

Linda Germana, 58, of Midland Beach, passed away on Friday October 27, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. Born on July 4, 1959 on Staten Island, Mrs. Germana spent her early years growing up in Stapleton. As a station agent for the MTA, Mrs. Germana was very fond of all of New York City's attractions and vibrant life. She also enjoyed the beauty of nature, the changing of the seasons, and gardening. She loved to cook and bake, including her beloved chocolate chip cookies; was always trying new and international foods; and had the more-than-occasional sweet tooth. As an animal lover, Mrs. Germana cared for her dog, three cats, and a bird. Mrs. Germana is survived by Frank, her husband of 30 years; her children Louis, Peter, Joseph, Linda, and Beatrice; her two grandchildren Linda and Nicholas; and is predeceased by her granddaughter Bianca. Funeral from Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, departing at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Silver Mount Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
