Obituary of James Connolly

James Connolly, 45, passed away on March 5, 2019, at home, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Stacey for 16 years; loving father of Vanessa and Jamie; dear son of William and the late Angela Connolly and stepson of Elizabeth Battaglino; devoted brother of William Connolly; fond brother in law of Lauren Bluet, and Stephanie Bluet; loving uncle of six nieces and nephews and great uncle of one great niece. Mr. Connolly was born on Staten Island in 1973, and was raised in Westerleigh, and graduated from St. Roch's grammar school and McKee High School. He was employed for over 20 years with the United States Post Office, working as a Mail Handler. Some of his hobbies included playing/watching football, golfing, and playing bocce. James loved being a dad and his two daughters were his world! Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Sunday, 3/10, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, with a service at 4:15 pm. Arrangements include private cremation.
